Emy Bio

Emy is a French-Canadian artist born in 1987 in the Capitale-Nationale region. A great creative since childhood, she was introduced to painting by her mother, who is an artist herself, who gave her her first brushes. In 2020, during the pandemic, she became more engaged in her artistic approach and began sharing her work in local galleries and creating pieces for large-scale hotels in Quebec City, signaling growing access to public and private commissions.

With a natural creative sense, Émilie spent 17 years working as a makeup artist in the beauty industry, an experience that allowed her to refine her sense of texture, lightplay, and color, and which now informs her painting practice. She holds a degree in graphic design, a training that enriches her approach with a structured graphic method, and she is pursuing visual arts studies at Laval University in parallel, steadily progressing toward full-time artistic practice.

Her work is guided by emotion and reflections on feminine and human experiences that convey concrete and intense sensations. This sensibility is expressed through her personal style, named Pop-Alism, a fusion of the intensity of pop art and a touch of realism in her creative process.
Through this language, she has had the opportunity to exhibit in New York, Italy, and Miami, and to participate in numerous charity events for organizations close to her heart, experiences that enrich her practice and vision.
